A Bit About ‘Sass’

Aléna Watters (fondly known as  ’Sass’ to many of her friends) is so grateful for the inspiring, challenging & life changing practice of yoga she discovered through Yoga4Soul.  Aléna was introduced to yoga in a college stage movement class, and began to explore the practice more fully upon moving to New York City.  Initially, she was drawn to broaden her practice for the physical benefits (positive changes in her body).  Then she began to fall in love with the mental focus & centeredness the practice can bring to the chaos of a busy New York lifestyle.  After 5 years of building a serious practice with her mentor, Charles ‘Jojo’ Tyler, she felt ready to take things to the next level & graduated from the Yoga4Soul school as a 200 hr Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher.  Coming from a strong, athletic background in dance & musical theatre, Aléna’s classes provide a fluid & challenging flow for all levels, infused with humor, enthusiasm & compassion in a non-competitive environment.  She hopes to inspire her students to accept themselves as they are in the moment, find out what works for them & to be open to experiment & expand their practice.  She encourages students to enjoy the journey of spiritual & physical growth they can discover & create through yoga.

Aléna is teaching private group classes for Broadway performers, musicians, sports bike riders, corporate clients, and the ‘average joe’.  You may also find her at your local NYSC covering classes.  Session rates on a sliding scale depending on time, location, and duration of session.  Packages and group discounts available.  Email Aléna at sassnsuch@gmail.com to get on the yogi mailing list in order to learn about upcoming classes, workshops and special events!
Shanti!  (Peace)

Thanks for subbing for Bria these past weeks. I had a blast and would like very much like to attend another one of your classes if possible. Hope to see you around.
